Visitors shield your eyes!
This is not the real Sydney

Screenprint on coreflute, June, 2000

I thought it would be handy if visitors to Sydney had some way of knowing what is and isn't the approved "real Sydney".

After all, we wouldn't want them getting the wrong idea.

This was the first of the signs and was printed on coreflute plastic from Reverse Garbage in Marrickville.

They're exactly the shape of real street signs. So they are an excellent replacement for irritating signs like "Dogs Prohibited."

(And while we're on that, why don't you ever see signs saying "Cats Prohibited"?)
