Democratic Rights Suspended.

Screenprint on plastic. September, 2000

A quick poster I made just before the Olympics began.

Although it was based on the Sydney Olympic signage, I was more interested in making a comment about the new Federal laws that allow the military to shoot Australian citizens if they are called out.

I managed to put this up on Friday September 8th, three days before the anti globalization protests and the day Parliament passed the new laws.

It bears repeating that the ALP proposed no alterations to the bill. That was left to the Democrats and Greens.
